I had a mixed experience at The Angel Hotel. The location is fantastic, being right next to Cardiff Castle and central to everything I needed. However, the rooms felt very dated and could use a serious upgrade. While the breakfast was enjoyable, the overall impression fell short of my expectations, especially given the price point.

The room I stayed in was quite small and definitely dated. I had to squeeze past the bed to see out of a grimy window, and the facilities weren't what I hoped for. The pillows were dreadful, and there were issues with the bathroom's cleanliness.
